Donald Dewar

Donald Campbell Dewar (21 August 1937 – 11 October 2000) was a Scottish politician, strident advocate of Scottish devolution, and the inaugural holder of the post of First Minister of Scotland.Dewar joined politics after his election as a Labour Party Member of Parliament (MP) in Scotland from 1966, when he entered the House of Commons in the general election of 1966 as the Labour MP for Aberdeen South.
